It was the middle of February. Grace and Pat had bundled up in their warmest coats, mittens, and scarves and went for a walk. They passed through the park and continued down to the river. Pat found a bench and cleared off the snow so that they could sit down and take in the beauty that surrounded them. For a few moments, they just sat in silence. They had that type of relationship where silence was not awkward, rather it was comforting.
